- Many abortions come as a result of this child being an "inconvenience" to the mother. Yet many evangelicals put off adopting and child bearing for the same reason. Adopting and/or stopping birth control are inconvenient because Evangelicals would rather pursue that career, buy that bigger house, etc.
- Those who deem it unwise to adopt may see it more beneficial to support someone who wishes to adopt but cannot do so for financial reasons.
- I don't know if it would be possible, but I think it would be good to offer to support a mother who is considering an abortion simply on the grounds that an abortion would be more "cost efficient." Someone might consider an abortion because carrying the baby to term would incur many bills that they could not pay (or do not want to pay). Contacting a pregnancy center could clarify whether or not such an option is viable.
- Do not forget that sanctity of life applies equally to the elderly, diseased, and handicapped in as much as it does to the unborn.
- I also remind you that the command to "Honor your father and mother" comes before "Thou shalt not kill." Teaching your young ones to respect those in authority and showing respect to those under your authority are the initial steps to respecting all forms of human life.
