The Gospel of Satan

This Lord's day we at CRF will begin our study of Lewis' The Screwtape Letters. In preparation I listened to AW Tozer's book on Satan. Tozer lays out a systematic "devilology," summarizing the Bible's teaching on the person and work of the devil. Especially good was his section dealing with the gospel of Satan.

Here is a snippet, but I do confess, ripping it from its context does not do it justice.

The gospel of Satan is not a system of revolutionary principles or a program of anarchy. It does not promote strife and war, but peace and unity. It does not seek to pit mother against daughter, but fosters a paternal spirit so that the human race is regarded as one great brotherhood. It aims to make this world so comfortable that Christ is not needed.
