The Misery of War

"One of the miseries of war is that there is no Sabbath. How then can we be pardoned for all our offenses?"
--Stonewall Jackson

In the Civil War Jackson lamented the fact that his circumstances prohibited him and his men from attending church in order to sanctify the Lord's day. Today, we have all liberty to go freely and without restraint. This is a charge then, that we take advantage of the opportunity gladly.
