God's Blessing Blamed for Wreckless Driving

This bit of news hails from a local radio station.

Headline: Man causes accident while praying
The power of prayer caused a three-vehicle accident yesterday morning at State Route 309 and Lexington-Springmill Road. Ontario Police say the driver who caused the crash, 49-year-old Adren Dean, said “God was blessing me and I got distracted”.

That distraction caused him to roll through a red light. His van hit three road signs and a Fed-Ex truck driven by Bob Bauer of Galion. Another van, driven by a woman from Texas, then hit his van. The woman’s van overturned.

No one was hurt. Dean was ticketed for failure to yield.

The accident tied up traffic for about an hour.

It seems to me that this driver should test the spirits and use a little more wisdom. I'm sure that the Lord was more concerned with the safety all involved more than giving him a warm, fuzzy blessing. Moreover, I'm sure that the Lord wasn't happy being blamed for a major incident on the road.
