Concerned Parents Have Education Options

As a parent, you are no doubt familiar with the difficulties presented with your child’s education.

Much of the grief may have little to do with the education itself. The greater burden most likely lies in the adverse social relations that your children experience from day to day. Parents easily tire of seeing their children come home emotionally distressed because of the relentless anxieties school produces. Mornings can be particularly exasperating as your child sickens with the haunting thoughts of walking the halls and facing another day of duress.

Many times you might have tried to convince yourself that they just need to go through it and come out a little stronger on the other side. It was something you had to endure, right? However, you cannot help but sympathize with them. Neither can you shake the feeling that you want something better for your child.

Then again, you perhaps could justify it, if it were it not for the alternative (and defiant) education they are gleaning from their classmates. You can sense your child is receiving a double education from the institution they attend, which far supersedes mere ABC’s.

In early years you could detect a bit of estrangement. Many parents feel it. Many more witness how grows into a defiant attitude as the child gets older. Needless to say, this is what we should expect when our kids spend extensive amounts of time with other adolescents—many of whom are not the best of companions, to say the least.

Then, of course, there are the sexual perversities with which they are relentlessly inculcated.
These are only some of countless reasons why so many parents in our region have opted to educate their children at home. We recognize the importance of raising our children in an environment where they may find personal security and proper socialization.

I acknowledge that other parents in the Ashland area would like to do that which is most beneficial for their children’s personal wellbeing. However, those parents might not be aware of any other means of educating their little ones.

If you are one such person, you may like to know that home education is not just a viable option you can choose. It is a most worthy investment of your affection in your children. The time spent interacting with them, be it teaching them or learning along with them, pays dividends that can never be surpassed.

What’s more is that Ashland has a thriving home school community where you can easily connect with other families for support, encouragement, tips, answers and (above all!) good old fashioned fun. To be sure, assimilating into the home school network is quite easy as social outings, educational activities, field trips, clubs and service projects are organized on a regular basis throughout the year.

As you consider the mental, emotional, and spiritual development of your child, you may wish to visit the Ashland homeschool website: http://www.archenetwork.weebly.com/. This site can serve as a portal through which you can begin to check out home education and connect with others who have sought to provide an educational haven for their children.
