I can't thank Sacha Walicord enough for coming on The Town Crier Show this weekend. It was perhaps the best show yet (actually, it went so well that I had to break it into two different shows!).
Sacha is fellow Presbyterian minister and an economics professor at Franklin University in Columbus, OH. So you can guarentee that a thoroughgoing Biblical worldview was brought out on the issues we addressed.
The first segment Sacha and I discussed a general approach to Biblical economics. Even though we didn't probe too deeply, it was clear that the financial order God commands isn't what most people are going for these days.
We spent the majority of our time discussing the current water boarding of the American economy through inflation. As I mention in the show, I believe this is one of the top issues of our day, and awareness of it needs to be propagated widely--especially among those in the Christian community. I don't typically use words lightly. So when the dollar is being spoken of as "toxic waste" and "trashed" it is important that we tune in and listen to what's going on.
Prudence means knowing something of what's happening and where things are heading. That's why I find this show to be so important and am glad that the Lord provided the opportunity.
