I've talked a great deal on the necessity of membership in a local church on this blog. This post from the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals does a great job of giving a reasonable explanation.
I also wanted to post this article from the Baylyblog on the use of birth control. Tim Bayly does an excellent job of stating that it is the duty of Christians to be fruitful and multiply and that Christians frequently abuse means of preventing conception in the name of the very same reasons people give for aborting children. I might also add that those who use birth control ought to be very aware that some items that go under the banner of birth control contain abortificients. So take time to check into it if you do have a lawful reason for using.

"CHRISTIANS" Only???? You might want to realize this edict was recorded long before Christianity even existed!
Sure..."Christians only".... yeah...rrright!
I have long held the view that the so-called "Right To Life" movement in reality wants to strip individual citizens of legal reproductive right of choice and give this power to an (idealized) ALMIGHTY RECONSTRUCTED CHRISTIAN DOMINIONIST GOVERNMENT who can then use this power, taken from individual citizens, as a tool for eugenics-based Social Engineering against perceived "mud races" and the "unrighteous" (non-Christians).
Think of the tantalizing possibilities in this, for you religious folks!!!
