Faithful are the wounds of a friend.
Proverbs 27:6
You are right. Do forgive me, and thank-you for wounding me.
Some of you may have caught my recent post, and perhaps you were offended too. Well, hopefully you caught Colleen's comments and how they point out my error.
I do wish to correct myself. In that post I over spoke. In a fit of whimpering and whining I overstated the case. Do know that not all liberals are so close minded that they will not listen to "the other side." There are a few, like Colleen, who will venture out and seek balance by scouring the field for the conservative angle on various topics.
While I still believe that the caricature fits a majority of those who would be qualified as liberal, I acknowledge that my words were extreme, and therefore inappropriate. I hope that no offense was taken (or at least my offenses can be forgiven), and that the basic thrust of the post may still be beneficial and challenging.
Once again, I thank-you, Colleen. I pray that no harm has been done and we can continue to interact.
I do encourage any and all who find me in error to come to me in a loving & bold manner. I consider the wounds of a friend faithful and appreciate whatever stripes I may receive.

Matt, no offense taken. I was just surprised to see that kind of caricature (which Christians are subjected to all the time) in your post.
There's a series on NPR about partisanship which has been interesting. See, for example this set of brothers with differing views trying to interact.
I don't think the problem is with liberals or conservatives, but with those labels and the unwarranted assumptions both sides make about one another.
Have a good weekend, Matt.
