Ashland Seminary Shacks Up with Paul Young

I continue to lose all hope in Ashland Seminary. ATS is now bringing one of the most flagrant heretics of our day to town for a conference. Who is that you ask? It is Paul Young, author of the best selling piece of theological garbage The Shack. (If you are wondering: yes, I did read it.)

This is only the latest episode of a long line of griefs I have witnessed at the seminary. The school only seems to be picking up speed as it heads down the road of apostasy.

Some will say that this is not so. I can hear them singing the praises of the institution. Remember though, you are known by your friends. Paul Young's book is filled with heretical teaching. (Note the emphasis: It is not simply some minor points upon which Christians disagree. It is downright heretical. For a second opinion, see Al Mohler. A third, see Kevin Swanson.) It was not that long ago too that ATS brought in Clark Pinnock, a man who espouses the heresy of open theism (which, by the way, seems to coincide well with The Shack's main themes). As they say, birds of a feather flock together.

I call all to take heed and, act accordingly. Should you or someone you know be considering attending Ashland Seminary or its continuing education programs, my advice is that you keep far from it. We are called to seek sound doctrine, and it evidently seems that ATS has no place for it.
