All week I've been entertaining myself by playing with my computer. This little podcast is what I came up with.
I called the show The Town Crier because that is somewhat what I've been since I came to Ashland. A town crier used to be one who would go out on the main streets of a city and proclaim the news of the day. These were the days when most of the populous was illiterate (and there weren’t any newspapers to read anyway). So men would be sent out to proclaim the important messages that needed to be diseminated to the wider society.
Well, that’s basically what I've been doing. We are living in a day where most people are illiterate–illiterate on how to live. So someone needs raise their voice and cry out for the King.
To say that this production is done by an amature would be to flatter myself. It obviously is rough. Nevertheless, the content makes for a good blog. It overviews some of the disasterous effects the humanism which has been promoted through our public education system has had on our culture.
I'd love to hear any comments you would have to offer. Feel free to email them.
