I had a great time with Ted Kluck on my show this last weekend talking about his latest book Why We Love the Church: In Praise of Institutions and Organized Religion. Ted's love for the church, despite all her warts, came through quite vividly. What also stuck out was his cordial spirit. He could have easily jumped all over the emergent church crowd and those who are dumping the church. However, he doesn't. He offers a critique, but he in no wise goes into any ad hominem bashing.
If anything, this show was extremely edifying. I simply found his admiration for the church personal and heart warming.
